A Refreshing Surprise

The Homecoming by Dan Walsh was a refreshing surprise. This was my first book by Walsh (and yes I now realize that I’ve read this series out of order but in my defense the ebook description makes no mention of the prequel, The Unfinished Gift!) so I didn’t know what to expect from him as an author; and since I’m not a fan of romance novels, I really wasn’t too excited about starting this book. Still my curiosity in the Christian romance genre got the better of me and I’m glad it did because this book offered up much more than just romance. The dramas of air battles and hand-to-hand combat, along with light-hearted inner monologues bring a unique blend of action and humor to this easy-to-read romance.
