So, you've walked down the idle and become become a member of the body of Christ. Maybe you've been baptized, maybe you haven't. Maybe this is a decision that has long been in the works or maybe it was completely spur-of-the-moment and you just followed a feeling. Whatever the back story, you've finally arrived at the moment when you ask yourself: Now What?
Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. ~Ephesians 4:14-15
Now, it's time to "grow in every respect" -- not all at once, but gradually. The most essential tool for this growth will be your relationship with God. The stronger this relationship, the stronger your defenses against all of the temptations of the world. So, start praying, reading your word and listening for His direction. We never know how God will choose to communicate with us, so be open to all of the resources at your disposal, including those of leisure. If you like romance novels, find a good Christian novella. This will make it much easier to keep your mind stayed on Him in your daily activities.
