“For I the Lord do not change; therefore you, O children of Jacob, are not consumed. From the days of your fathers you have turned aside from my statutes and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you, says the Lord of hosts… ~Malachi 3:6-7 (ESV)
Most Christians have heard it said that God will not give us more than we can bear but many of us forget that we can only bear our struggles when we place them in God’s hands. This means having the faith necessary to remain obedient children of God even in the midst of our hardest trials. Unfortunately, Satan doesn’t wait until we’ve developed this strength to attack so we often lose faith in God and turn to former means of overcoming, coping or surviving to get us through.

And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. We love because he first loved us. Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister. ~1 John 4:16-21 Inspired by 1 John 4:16-21, this new movement is sponsored by Urban NYCHE to encourage us all to Love without fear.
